The Colosseum or Flavian Amphitheater is the symbolic monument of Rome and the largest amphitheater in the world. Built in 71 AD, it still shines in all its grandeur. Getting to the Colosseum and seeing it stand out against the sky is always a very strong emotion, even for those who have already seen. The glory of the Roman Empire is expressed in the most famous amphitheater in the world, where it is still possible to see (with one's own imagination) proud gladiators fighting for glory. The Colosseum can also be visited inside (ticket necessary), to admire even more closely its majesty and its excellent state of preservation, thousands of years later.
